Wound Care
LPNs provide wound care to patients, including cleaning wounds, changing dressings, and monitoring wounds for infection. They must be able to assess wounds and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Education and Training
LPN programs typically take one to two years to complete and include a combination of classroom instruction and clinical experience. Classroom instruction covers topics such as anatomy, physiology, nursing skills, and patient care. Clinical experience provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for LPN programs vary from program to program. However, most programs require applicants to have a high school diploma or equivalent and to have completed certain prerequisites, such as math and science courses.
