Types of Admissions at UW System
The University of Wisconsin System offers a variety of admissions options to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and academic qualifications. The system’s four-year universities have a selective admissions process that considers factors such as high school GPA, class rank, ACT or SAT scores, and extracurricular activities.
The two-year colleges of the UW System have an open admissions policy, which means that all students who meet the minimum requirements are guaranteed admission. However, some two-year colleges may have selective admissions programs for specific majors or programs.
